Three Sunday Mornings Singing Beautiful Sacred Classical Music..... for Gasworks Choir Members and anybody who loves sight singing....

If you are in Gasworks Choir and have already learnt some of the classical music that we have done as Advanced songs and you have learnt by ear, you are welcome to join these sessions. If you are a reasonable music reader (you don't have to be in Gasworks Choir), you are also welcome to come and sing. We will be doing O Magnum Mysterium by Laurisden and also by Victoria, Ave Verum Corpus by Byrd, Cum Sancto Spiritu by Vivaldi and maybe some more....... Many of these are already on the Gasworks Members page, and when you sign up to join the sessions I will make sure that you have the audio parts as well as the score.

The intention is to share some of our singing at a concert in May.

Two Saturday Mornings Brushing Up Your Sight Singing!

If you have a beginners knowledge of notation but want to brush up and practice your sight singing, this is for you. We will look at the clefs, pitch, rhythm, intervals, and lots of the funny marks and squggles that make reading music seem complicated. We will practise by singing some simple 4-part harmony songs.
